Practice, Practice, Practice

With summer comes time to play. Here are the two most recent paintings. They are practice for a bigger painting that I want to do. We'll see what happens. No matter what its fun.

Twilight

I admit that I love the Twilight saga. I've read everything at least once and most of it twice. If you're wondering why a grandma would love a teenage vampire story......... see picture. Any questions?

Flowers

Here's the new flower painting. It looks like the scanner "cut" a slice off but I don't know why. I was frustrated at first and then it started looking like a flower. I'm going to leave the background white. It's mostly practice but it's fun to play.

This is the first commissioned piece. The client wanted pink. The cost: one big hug! I hope you like it Gelsey.

I painted this flower with Jillian in mind. Jill, if you like it I'll frame it and bring it with me when I come to see you. Gelsey, if you like it I could paint a flower for you but maybe a different color. Girls let me know.

This is the first watercolor that I will frame. I know it is a beginning piece but you have to start somewhere. It makes me think of Paul's first bowl. We all thought they were great but it wasn't until about 4 or 5 bowls ago ( out of over 50) the he is saying that they're pretty good. Sooooooo, this is a good beginning to what I hope is many, many pictures.
It is for my sweet little grandson, Frank. Look closely and see if you can see why it's for Frank.
